N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – “One of the big things for us is finding out where we’re at with student relationships.”
Gussner Elementary School Principal Luke Anderson addressed the Jamestown Public School Board during their regular meeting Tuesday evening. He gave a report on relationship mapping, giving them an idea of the strength and impact of their interpersonal relationship between the adults and students in the school.
Anderson said they had teachers identify students they had a positive experience with and noticed the student would be comfortable approaching them with any issues or concerns.
Anderson says some of the results from the mapping opened his and others eyes.
Gussner School Counselor Shane Ringdahl said this was just perception from the teachers and faculty with students.
Anderson says they will take what they learned from the mapping and use it to continue to grow as a building.
