N.D.  (NewsDakota.com)  The Cardinals of Carrington kicked off their season on Tuesday night in Harvey for a volleyball match with the Hornets of Harvey/Wells County.  Carrington swept HWC, 3-0, (25-18, 25-19, 25-18).  Carrington improves to 1-0, the Hornets drop to 5-2.

Sophomore Bella Hone of Carrington had eight kills and four stuff blocks, both match highs.  Senior McKayla McIntosh had seven kills and Senior Emerson Hoornaert added six kills.

Next up for Carrington will be Thursday, August 31st in Cooperstown to take on the Cougars of Griggs County Central. Prematch about 6:45pm on AM 1600 KDAK and newsdakota.com, first serve about 7pm.
