VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- This year’s Hi-Liner football team will have a new look after losing a majority of their starters from last year’s 5-4 team to graduation. Valley City will rely on a youth movement to carry the team this season in the newly realigned AA Class.
Several on this year’s squad have some minutes under their belt but just a couple had starting roles. Head coach Scott Roehrich, who’s entering his 12th year, spent the off season and early practices establishing roles for his young players
The new 10 team AA cuts some of the longer trips off The Hi-Liner’s schedule making Belcourt the furthest they will travel. Turtle Mountain fell to Valley City 54-14 during their 2-7 season last year. The Braves do return a solid core of starters including their leading rusher Travis Larocque and most of their offensive line
Coverage of VCHS football begins with the pregame around 6:40 kick is at 7 on KOVC AM 1490 and NewsDakota.com.
