JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department and Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department remember the tragic crash that occurred near Jamestown five years ago.

Five lives were lost all because of one drunk driver.

Both departments along with Barnes, Eddy, and Foster County Sheriffs’ Offices, the Valley City Police Department and North Dakota Highway Patrol, are cracking down on drunk driving during the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign through September 4th.

Sheriff Kaiser says there are some alarming statistics involved when it comes to drunk driving in the state of North Dakota.

Residents are encouraged to call 911 if they suspect someone is impaired while driving. Sheriff Kaiser says it is also up to you to cut down on drunk driving.
