N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Commission has approved work on the current cooling tower for the Stutsman County Courthouse and Law Enforcement Center.
During a regular meeting Tuesday, Jim Fettig and members of Trane Company approached the commission on the proposal. Fettig reports that they asked for permission to go ahead on this several months ago.
Fettig says the contract was for $198,550. Trane Company representative Shane Eskelson says work should start sometime in November.
He pointed out that after installing the new system, time would be taken to troubleshoot and learn it. Eskelson estimates it to be completely finished next Spring. The commission unanimously approved the project.
Central Valley Health Unit Administrator Robin Iszler brought forth the Central Valley Health District Budget request next.
The item of business was just for information, but will be visited at later meetings.
Corry Shevlin, Business Development Manager for the Jamestown Stutsman Development Corporation, later brought forth the moving of the section line at the Spiritwood Energy Park.
An owner of property that would be affected by the shift of the section line pointed out that the commissioners would have to consider a crossing if it were moved.
Because of this, the commission approved to table the request until something could be figured out regarding the section line.
