N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released the latest run report for the dates between July 27th and August 3rd.

The report, compiled by Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Reuther, says the department has responded to 168 calls since July 31st. Some calls the department responded to include carbon monoxide alerts, Menards compacter fire and potential arson at an abandoned barn.

Call No. 161 July 28th, 11:20AM, ready squad responded to 1010 17th St NE, Single Family Dwelling, to check for carbon monoxide. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0 ppm was detected. Cause-low battery in detector. Time out 25 minutes.

Call No. 162 July 28th, 10:31PM, ready squad responded to 234 16th Ave NE, Single Family Dwelling, to check for carbon monoxide. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 0 ppm was detected. Cause-faulty detector. Time out 35 minutes.

Call No. 163 July 29th, 3:44PM, fire department responded to 1209 23rd St SW, Menards, to a report of a fire in the compactor. Firefighters extinguished the fire and investigated. Cause-undetermined. No injuries reported. Time out 30 minutes.

Call No. 164 July 30th, 7:46PM, ready squad responded to 1201 4th St NW, Abandoned Barn, to a report of black smoke. Firefighters checked the structure and extinguished a small smoldering fire inside. Cause-arson. No injuries reported. Time out 25 minutes.

Call No. 165 July 30th, 8:47PM, ready squad responded to 715 3rd Ave SE, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-power surge. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 25 minutes.

Call No. 166 July 31st, 8:49AM, ready squad responded to 421 18th St NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to investigate fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke/fire none was detected. Cause-intentional alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out 10 minutes.

Call No. 167 July 31st, 11:10AM, ready squad responded to 1507 11th Ave NE, Multi Family Dwelling, to check for carbon monoxide. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 44-50 ppm was detected. Cause-unknown. Time out 45 minutes.
