(NewsDakota.com) – Record high temperatures have hit the region, and the warm weather is expected to continue this week.
Jamestown set record highs this weekend for both March 10 and 11. Saturday’s high was 65 degrees, and Sunday’s high was 63 degrees, both breaking records for the date.
More records are expected to fall this week. Tuesday’s forecast high of 63 degrees would break the record of 61 degrees for March 13, and temperatures the rest of the week are forecast to be near record highs.
Saturday’s high could be near 70 degrees during the 34th annual Running O’ the Green in Jamestown.
Bismarck, Dickinson, Williston, Minot, Jamestown, Fargo and Grand Forks all set or tied record-high temperatures this past weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
