N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Earlier this month, the JSDC approved the development of a new industrial park near the Jamestown Regional Airport.

Business Development Director Corry Shevlin stated that around 87 acres along Highway 20 North would be developed into industrial and aeronautical use lots. The cost to develop that land is estimated to be around $2.8 million.

This project will be funded on a 90/10 City and County split. The Jamestown City Council will be meeting in special session on Tuesday, July 25th at 4 PM to discuss their share of the requested money.

The city would account for $2,562,752.44 and the county share would be $284,750.28. The city’s cost would be covered by the City Sales Tax Fund.
