CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 38th year of the Valley City Farmers Market kicks-off today in the Shopko parking lot in Valley City.

Manager Norma Voldal said even though the market is not certified organic, most of the growers use little or no chemicals in their gardens.

She said the market will be open every Monday and Thursday from 4pm to 6pm through the month of October weather permitting.

Voldal said due to construction work in the Rosebud Visitor Center parking lot this summer the Valley City Farmers Market has moved to the Shopko parking lot on west Main in Valley City.
