N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office reports that a number of tips from area residents led to the arrest of a wanted fugitive Sunday morning near Montpelier.

On Wednesday, June 21st, the department asked for the public’s assistance in locating James Storlie, 57, who was wanted on possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and violations of the 24/7 program.

Storlie was arrested at an abandoned trailer home in Montpelier without incident early Sunday morning. He is currently being held at the Stutsman County Correctional Center.

The Sheriff’s Office thanked the public for their assistance, citing them for providing several tips leading to Storlie’s arrest. The Jamestown Police Department, Stutsman County Drug Task Force, Highway Patrol, Parole and Probation and the Game and Fish Department assisted in the investigation.
