(NewsDakota.com) – Kindred and Central Cass will square off Thursday night in Lisbon for the Region 1 Girls Basketball Championship, after both picked up double-digit victories in Tuesday’s semifinals.

Kindred outscored Maple Valley 25-12 in the fourth quarter, overcoming a 44-43 deficit after three periods to earn a 68-56 victory. Brooke Graff led Kindred with 23 points, and Rylee Nudell scored 25 for Maple Valley in the loss.

In the other semifinals, Central Cass outscored Northern Cass 22-10 in the third quarter to break open the game en route to a 66-43 victory. Hannah Breske scored 17 to lead four Central Cass players in double figures. Paige Verwest had 13 for Northern Cass.

Maple Valley takes on Northern Cass at 6 p.m. Thursday in the third-place game. Central Cass and Kindred face off for the title at about 7:30 p.m. Both games can be heard on Q101.1, KQDJ-FM.
