N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Valley City competed at The North Dakota High School Clay Target League State Tournament Saturday in Horace. The Hi-Liners scored a 350 to finish in 5th place. Sheyenne won the team title with 361.
Braylen Bruns hit 72 of 75 targets to finish in an 8 way tie for 8th in the male varsity division. Hale Kringlie was 66 of 75 and Calvin Bjornson 64 of 75. Valley City had the top 2 spots in the male JV, Blake Didier’s 72 won him the title with Matt Lyter collecting a 70 for 2nd place. Jacob Berntson was tied for 9th. Emma Mielke won the JV female title hitting 67 targets, include a perfect round of 25. In the male novice Sam Mehus came in 2nd and Austin Brandt tied for 4th. Erika Anderson hit 46 targets in the female novice division.
