N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The Enderlin Post 221 Baseball Team never trailed in a 15-5 Region 1 win against Ellendale Thursday night at home. The Rail Cats also had a 10 run win in the non league game with a 12-2 victory. Post 221 is now 6-1 overall and are 4-0 in the region, Tuesday night they travel to Casselton.
Game 1: Enderlin 15 Ellendale 5 (5 innings)
Post 221 had a big 6 run 1st inning. Ellendale cut the game to 8-5 before The Rail Cats scored 7 runs over the last 2 innings to end the game early. Jade Pulkrabek had a pair of doubles with 5 RBI. Nathan Amerman, Adam Stenson and Lain Combs all drove in 2 runs.
Stenson was on the mound for Post 221, he had a complete game win collecting 7 strike outs.
Game 2: Enderlin 12 Ellendal 2 (4 innings)
The Rail Cats again jumped out to an early lead with 2 runs in the opening inning. Pete Lindgren was 2 for 3 and had 3 RBI. Dustin Kasowski had 2 hits and brought home 2 runs. Jorun Hamre and Nathan Amerman both pitched 2 innings with Amerman getting the win.
