N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department and other Jamestown Emergency Services will team up with Central Valley Health for Kids Safety Day on June 22nd.

After having hosted the Bike Rodeo and Kids Safety Day separately, both the JPD and CVH decided to combine their events to make one big day. Officer Andrew Staska says they have also moved it the Civic Center this year.

The Police Department will be holding their bike rodeo as well as helping to set up emergency vehicles for the kids to check out. Other departments participating include the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department, Jamestown Fire Department and Jamestown Ambulance.

Food will also be provided courtesy of several Jamestown businesses. The event runs from 9 AM to 3 PM and is intended for children between the ages of 4 to 14.

Staska says that they also plan to raffle off a few bikes, at no charge to the kids. Kids will write down their name and phone number, place it in the box next to the bicycle they want, and a drawing will be held later in the event.
