CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Several Soap Box Derby drivers competed in the annual Regional Soap Box Derby race in Valley City on June 3rd.
The top racers in the Super Stock and Stock division earn the right to to compete in the International Soap Box Derby next month in Akron, Ohio.
Congratulations to Marie-Mai Langevin who was the Super Stock Division winner. Eryn Crump placed 2nd, Trinity Nelson 3rd, Zachary Sykora 4th, Marly Schwehr 5th, Yannick Langevin 6th, Trevor Breske 7th and Jordyn Everson captured 8th place.
Congratulations to Leo Zabka who captured 1st place in the Stock Division followed by Paige Brundin who placed 2nd, Kyler Nielson 3rd, Anna McMenamin 4th, Landon Martinson 5th, Wyatt Fiedler 6th, Taylor Fiedler 7th and Cody Grenz 8th place.
Langevin and Zabka have the opportunity to advance to the International Soap Box Derby next month in Akron, Ohio. If either one cannot go to that competition the 2nd place driver will have the option to go.

Back in 2013, Valley City’s Annie Hart took 3rd place in the International Soap Box Derby’s Super Stock division. It was the first time anyone in this region placed that high during the International competition in Akron, Ohio.
