ASHTABULA, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Barnes County Sheriff’s office responded to a call for service at a cabin along Lake Ashtabula near Meyers Landing on May 30th.

Chief Deputy Don Fiebiger said a man shot himself in the chest with a .22 caliber rifle. He said the rural Oriska man was Life-Flighted to a Fargo hospital and is being treated for a gunshot wound to the chest.
