N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The U.S. Department of Transportation has awarded a grant of ,581 to the Jamestown Regional Airport.
According to the DOT, the grant will provide funding for numerous projects at the airport.
A crack seal rehabilitation of 6,502 feet of Runway will occur to maintain structural integrity of the pavement and minimize foreign object debris. It’ll also fund a crack seal rehabilitation of 5,700 feet of existing Taxiways A and D as well as reconstruct existing taxiway pavement that has reached end of useful life.
Several other crack seal rehabilitation will also be conducted on the existing apron and Taxiways B and E.
Jamestown also received part of an Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant worth $2,251,708 that was distributed to several airports. $82,581 was granted to help with rehabilitation and maintenance of the runways and taxiways.
