CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–The District 6 Babe Ruth baseball tournament has announced it’s seedings.

Valley City received the third seed for the tournament, with Lisbon earning the top seed, and LaMoure the second seed.  Oakes and Linton were fourth and fifth, respectively, with 12-4 the top record, and 10-6 the fifth-best record in a tight district race.

Play will begin with a “play-in” in Ellendale Saturday morning featuring eighth-seed Ellendale and ninth-seed Edgeley.  The first round will then move to Edgeley, with Lisbon taking on the winner of the play-in matchup at Noon on Sunday.

Valley City will meet sixth-seed Steele at 2:30 p.m., followed by LaMoure and Wishek at 5:00 p.m., and Oakes and Linton playing the final game of the first round at 7:00 PM.  Tourney play will continue through the middle of next week.
