N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Stutsman County Museum is ready to host their summer Porch Chats in 2017.
Housed in the Lutz Mansion in Jamestown, the former mansion built in 1907 now hosts four floors of history. Stutsman County Museum Board Member Alden Kollman states that there’s always something new in the museum.
One feature that the Stutsman County Museum provides is their Summer Porch Chats. The free chats focus on numerous historical portions of the county or region. He says the chats are every Sunday and start June 11th.
Each chat lasts around 20 minutes and allows times for questions following. Kollman says they’ve had numerous topics of conversation over the past few years.
Kollman says the front porch chats and museum run as a non-profit and are possible solely off donations and funds from the county.
For more information on the museum or porch chats, visit the museum at 321 Third Avenue SE or call 701-252-6741.
