N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- Central Cass and Enderlin/Maple Valley combined for 27 runs and 28 hits in a Region I Baseball slugfest  Monday night in Casselton. The Squirrels won in walk off fashion 14-13. The game was the final of the regular season for both teams. EMV ends the year 7-5 in the region and sit in 4th place, Central Cass is 8-3 and is tied for 2nd. Final seeding will be announced later this week with the tournament beginning Friday in LaMoure. You can hear all EMV games on Q101 and NewsDakota.com.

The Falcons were up 5-4 going into the 3rd when they plated 6 runs. Central Cass answered with a 7 run bottom half of the inning to tie the game at 11. EMV went ahead in the 4th when Brandon Utke stole home. The Falcons would swipe home against this time it was Dustin Kasowski making it 13-11. 

In the bottom of the 7th the scoring started for Central Cass with a steal of home by Drew Roden. Mike Ueland then brought home Andrew Janke with a double to tie the game 13-13. With Jacob Halverson at the plate, Ueland stole 3rd and then stole home to score the game winner. 

Brandon Utke was the losing pitcher going 4.2 innings. Jacob Kressin worked 2 innings for The Squirrels for the win. 

Utke was 2 for 3 with a double and 3 runs. Lain Combs had 2 RBI. For Central Cass, Garret Prante had a home run and 3 RBI. Michale Ueland went 3 for 5 with a home run and double while driving in 2.
