CITY, N.D. (VCSUVikings.com)- Valley City State University juniors Kelsey Hamade and Kelli Moore have been named to the North Star Athletic Association Softball All Conference Team, the conference office announced earlier this week.

Hamade and Moore were both named 1st Team All Conference after strong junior seasons for the Viking softball program.

Hamade, a junior outfielder from Abbotsford, British Columbia, led the Vikings in hits (59), runs (39) and batting average (.362) this season. She played center field for VCSU and primarily batted in the leadoff position. Hamade had a .406 on-base percentage and was 15-for-17 on stolen bases. She collected five doubles and drove in 14 runs.

Moore, a junior first baseman from Sacramento, Calif., batted .360 for the Vikings, collecting 11 doubles, a home run and 28 RBIs. She scored 26 runs and had a .425 on-base percentage. Moore primarily batted clean-up for the Vikings and was 11-for-13 on stolen bases.

Valley City State University finished the season with a 21-31 overall record. The Vikings entered the conference tournament as the No. 6 seed but went 2-2 at the tournament, losing out to eventual champion University of Jamestown in the Bracket B championship game.
