(NewsDakota.com) It was a solid weekend for the Edgeley-Kulm track and field teams, as both the girls and boys teams won their respective divisions at the Ellendale QB Club Track Meet Saturday.

The Rebels won the girls meet with a team total of 101 points, followed by Oakes with 91 and Sargent County with 90. Kaitlyn Schiele qualified for state in both the triple jump and 100 meters, and Oakes’ Lanie Awender also qualified in the 100.

On the boys side, Edgeley-Kulm took the top spot with 121 points, with Sargent County placing second with 100 points, and Frederick South Dakota taking third with 84 points. Issac Huber was a state qualifier in the 3200 meter run, and also ran the fastest time in the event ever in an Ellendale meet; with a time of 9 minutes, 53.65 seconds.
