N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Fire Department has released their run report for March 25th through April 26th.
Jamestown Fire Chief Jim Reuther reports that the department has responded to 88 total calls so far in 2017. Some of the calls included a transformer on fire on March 26th, a call to the University of Jamestown March 28th, and extrication of a person from a vehicle on April 10th.

Call No. 65 March 25th, 8:34PM, fire department responded to 416 4th St SW, Single Family Dwelling, to a report of a fire in a bedroom. Fire was out upon arrival of fire units, firefighters investigated. Cause-electrical malfunction of sports equipment. No injuries reported. Time out 55 minutes.
Call No. 66 March 26th, 1:40AM, fire department responded to 1200 Block of 2nd Ave NE, Otter Tail Power Pole, to a report of a transformer on fire. Firefighters stood by until Otter Tail Power Company arriver on scene. No injuries reported. Time out 35 minutes.
Call No. 67 March 28th, 11:01PM, fire department responded to 610 7th Ave NE, U of J-Kroze Hall, to a report of a fire in the laundry room. Firefighters extracted smoke and investigate. Cause-burnt belt on a wash machine. No injuries reported. Time out 30 minutes.
Call No. 68 March 29th, 1:25PM, ready squad responded to 1714 2nd Place NE, Single Family Dwelling, to check for carbon monoxide. Firefighters analyzed for carbon monoxide and 25 ppm was detected. Occupant was advised to have furnace inspected. Cause-furnace. Time out 35 minutes.
