N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The Valley City High School Softball Team will be represented in the inaugural SCHEELS All-Star Softball Series. Jayda Haugen, a senior from Barnes County North, was named to the East All Star Team. She will play with athletes from Central Cass, Davies, Fargo North and South, Grand Forks Central, Hillsboro-Central Valley, May-Port-CG, Northern Cass, Shanley and West Fargo Sheyenne. 

Outstanding graduating seniors were nominated by their coaches. Then, a selection committee of eight coaches, covering the East and West in Class A and B, selected the final rosters for the inaugural event. Games for 2017 SCHEELS Softball All-Star Series will be held in Mandan at Fort Lincoln Field on June 5 at 6 pm and in Fargo at Mickelson Park on June 6 at 6 pm
