N.D.- The Jamestown Regional Airport experienced an event that is quite common at larger airports on Thursday evening, as a single engine home built plane “ground looped” on one of the runways of the airport.

Jamestown Regional Airport Manager Matthew Leitner says the pilot was landing at the airport around 4:30 p.m., and upon completion of landing, lost directional control of his aircraft, which is what is referred as “ground looping”.
The pilot was not injured. The North Dakota Highway Patrol and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
