(NewsDakota.com)- The Jamestown Blue Jays will being postseason play tomorrow night at the Bismarck Civic Center in the opening round of the WDA Tournament.
The girls will open the tournament as the No. 5-seed and will take on the 4th-seeded Minot Magicians. The Magicians, led by Holly Johnson, have beaten the Jays twice this season and hold an impressive record of 14-5.
Jamestown (7-12, 6-10) and Minot will be the second game of the day on the girls side of the bracket and is scheduled to begin around 3:45pm.
The Blue Jay boys earned the 6th-seed in the tournament and will turn around to play St. Mary’s right away again. Jamestown finished the regular season at St. Mary’s (12-7, 10-6) last Tuesday, losing 81-74.
The two teams split the season series.
Jamestown (9-10, 7-9) has lost 8 of their last 9, after a mid-season seven-game winning streak bumped them up to No. 3 in the state.
This game will end the first night of action at the tournament with the tip-time scheduled for 8:15pm.
