N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Freedom Resource Center is looking to help provide information for residents to fight scammers and their schemes.
“Get Smart on Scams” will be held on Thursday, April 27th at the James River Senior Center. The free educational course will provide participants information on current scams involving phones, e-mail, and mail.
Beth Dewald is an Independent Living Advocate with Freedom Resource. She says they’ll be bringing in a member of the Attorney General’s Office and a local Police Officer to conduct the free educational forum.
The course will be free and open to the public. Dewald says interested individuals must register before April 24th so there will be enough material for everyone. For more information, contact Beth at 701-252-4693.
