CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Two individuals were injured after a rollover west of Valley City Saturday afternoon.

34 year-old driver Joshua Brouse  and 32 year-old Kristine Brouse, both from Valley City, were pulling an unloaded flatbed trailer westbound on Interstate 94. Brouse had just passed another vehicle when a strong wind gust blew the trailer to the side, causing the vehicle to lose control.

Highway Patrol Sgt. Thomas Herzig reports that the vehicle and trailer slide into the north ditch where it overturned multiple times. The driver suffered minor injuries. The passenger was ejected, suffering serious injuries.

Both were transported to the hospital in Valley City. Kristine was later flown to a Fargo Hospital. They were both not wearing their seatbelts.
