N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- May-Port-CG jumped out to an early 10-1 lead and held on to beat Enderlin Maple Valley  10-8 Thursday in an East Region Game. The Falcons took the non region match up 9-1. EMV returns right back to action Friday at home hosting Wilton-Wing. 

 

 

Game 1: MPCG 10 EMV 8

May-Port CG chased out starter Allison Bartholomay after posting 7 runs in the 2nd inning. EMV started their come back in the 7th scoring 6 runs before The Patriots closed out the innings. Bartholomay had a 2 hit game with 4 stolen bases, a double and 2 runs. Georgina Orn was 1 for 2 with 2 RBIs and a double. Danica Wendel walked 4 times and swiped 4 bases while plating a run. 

In the circle Bartholomay pitched 2 innings surrendering 7 runs on 6 hits and 4 walks with 2 Ks. Kayla Tingley worked 5 innings of relief with 5 strike outs. 

Game 2: EMV 9 MPCG 1 (4 innings)

The Falcons capitalized on 13 walks and scored early and often getting all 9 runs in the first 3 innings. Bartholomay got her team’s only hit. She had 2 RBIs and stole 3 bases. Brooke Michaelson had an RBI and Orn and Kelsey Marschke scored 2 runs.

Katelyn Tingley pitched 4 innings allowing  a run on 3 hits with 7 strike outs.
