N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is warning Jamestown residents of a new convicted sex offender living within the city of Jamestown.

David Leroy Thorson, 47, has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee. He currently resides at 2605 Circle Drive in a North Dakota State Hospital Transitional Home.

Thorson was first charged with Gross Sexual Imposition in 1991 when he forsed a 14 year-old girl to have sex with him. He was charged again with Corruption of a  Minor on the same date when he had a 16 year-old girl perform oral sex on him in a car. Within a month, he also forced a 15 year-old and 16 year-old girl to have sex with him.

Throson was charged with Gross Sexual Imposition again in 2002 when he fondled a 9 year-old girl over her clothing on two occasions.

Thorson is not currently wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. Any attempts to harass, intimidate, or threaten the offender or their families, landlords or employers will be turned over for prosecution.
