CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – April is International Autism Awareness month and last week a Valley City woman told us she was disappointed that a bill to help those with autism failed recently in the North Dakota Senate.
District 24 Republican Representative Dwight Kiefert of Valley City said the bill had wide support in the North Dakota House but did not pass in the Senate. He said the reason the Autism bill failed was due to insurance coverage promised or tied to the program.
Kiefert made those comments during a District 24 Legislative Forum held on April 1st in Valley City.
