BISMARCK, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Game & Fish Department has announced the return of snow geese to the state.

Earlier this month, Game & Fish Biologist Doug Leier reported that snow geese numbers had fluctuated in North Dakota, citing cool downs and warm-ups through the season. On Thursday, Leier reported that they had made their way back.

Leier says the season goes until the middle of May, but hunters shouldn’t rely on on the seasons end to get out and hunt.

Leier also reminded listeners that new fishing licenses would need to be purchased by April 1st.
