W. Johnson, age 84, of Fargo, ND, formerly of Valley City, ND, died Wednesday, March 15th, 2017 under Hospice Care at his residence in Fargo, ND.  A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, March 25th, 2017 at Grace Free Lutheran Church in Valley City.  Inurnment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery near Valley City in the spring.

Frank William Johnson, the son of Frank and Florence (Sours) Johnson, was born January 11, 1933 in Valley City, ND.  Frank grew up in Valley City and graduated from College High School in 1951.  Frank married Betty Reith in 1952; the couple made their home in Valley City where Frank worked for Auction City Furniture where he later became the manager until his retirement in 1989.  Betty died in 1987.  In 1989, Frank moved to Fargo, ND where he met and married Marlys Zink Kehm.  While he lived in Fargo, Frank was employed by Carpet World.  Frank and Marlys enjoyed time together at their lake home, and traveling during the winter months.  Frank also enjoyed his part time job driving bus for the Fargo School System.  Frank lived his life with sincere faith, humor, generosity, kindness and love.

Frank is survived by his wife Marlys, Fargo, ND; one daughter, Brenda (Abd) Rayyan, Omaha, NE; two sisters, Viola Pack, Phoenix, AZ, and Luella Hansen, Bismarck, ND; step children, Steve Kehm, Aberdeen, SD, Amy Ell and Kathleen Kehm, both Fargo, ND; seven grandchildren, Corey and Ryan Johnson, Jessica and Jamie Snyder, Amiera, Ala’a and Allyah Rayyan; two step grandchildren, Ryan and Robbie Ell; and two great grandchildren, Benjamin Johnson and Sebastian Firoz.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Betty, his son Billy, and two brothers Eugene and Robert.

Memorials are preferred addressed to the Hospice of the Red River Valley.
