N.D. (PlayNorthStar.com) – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) is pleased to announce the 2016-17 Women’s Basketball All-Conference selections and postseason awards, which was announced after the conclusion of the women’s basketball championship game where the top-seeded Jamestown (N.D.) defeated third-seeded Valley City State (N.D.) by the score of 79-70 on Sunday afternoon.

The Jimmies earned the North Star Athletic Association Women’s Basketball regular-season outright title with a 15-1 conference record.  Greg Ulland of Jamestown was voted as NSAA Coach-of-the-Year.

Kyra Dewald of Jamestown was selected as the NSAA Women’s Basketball Most Valuable Player-of-the-Year.  Megan Klein of Dickinson State (N.D.) was awarded as Defensive Player-of-the-Year.  Naomi Torgerson of Mayville State (N.D.) was named the Newcomer Player-of-the-Year award.

The following athletes were selected by the conference coaches as All-Conference First and Second Teams.  There is a list of Honorable Mention Team.
