N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Darrell Hournbuckle with Interstate Engineering gave a presentation to the Jamestown Public Works Committee regarding the Raker Building Project at the city’s water treatment facility Thursday.
Hournbuckle reported that the proposal is for an 8 by 8 addition to the structure for electrical controls and keep the building along with replacing moving parts and the removal of accumulated grit.
Hournbuckle reported that the main things the raker would take care of is larger debris in the system. The recommendation was made to replace the raker at the current location and leave the funding option in place, pending the proposed soybean processing facility.
The committee moved forward with replacing the raker and associated equipment with the raker. They also approved to authorize a loan application with the State Health Department and North Dakota Public Finance Agency.
