Below is the story we ran earlier on newsdakota.com

Former Barnes County Veterans Service Officer Chad Clement accused current Veterans Service Officer Angela Hunt of falsifying her time card and not providing timely service for Barnes County veterans.

Barnes County State’s Attorney Carl Martineck said the statements made by Mr. Clement are allegations and should be treated as speculation.  He said Hunt is committed to providing a high level of service to the veterans of Barnes County.

Commission Chairman Mike Metcalf said he has only received positive feedback from members of the community about the work of Angela Hunt. Metcalf said Hunt had been on medical leave for more than a month. He said other Veteran Service Officers filled in for Hunt on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s during her medical leave.

Clement also asked if the board of commissioners violated their policy manual by accepting health insurance being they allegedly don’t work full-time like other county officials. But, all five county commissioners told Clement that they work more than the required hours with their portfolio and committee assignments.

State’s Attorney Carl Martineck issued a response to the allegations against Hunt and whether the Barnes County Commission violated their policy manual. Martineck said no violations occurred. A detailed response to the allegations is listed below by clicking on the VSO Complaint Response.
