CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Substance Abuse & Motivational Speaker Tony Hoffman visited Valley City this week to share his experience with drug addiction and recovery. He talked about the negative effects the opioid addiction has on all of our communities across the county.

North Dakota’s First Lady Kathryn Helgass Burgum attended the presentation. She said Hoffman made a big impression on students and the community by emphasizing the importance of recognizing drug addiction. She recently disclosed the struggle she had with alcohol and her recovery.

City County Health Director Theresa Will said the fight against addiction helping people get to treatment is a constant struggle.
