(NewsDakota.com) In their final game at home of the 2016-17 season, the Oakes High School boys basketball team rallied in the second half, and defeated Leola-Fredrick South Dakota 67-62 in overtime Thursday night.

The Tornadoes (5-12) had a nine point lead in the first half, before the Titans went on a run to take a three point lead at halftime. Lead by Tyler Voightman’s 25 points, and Jordan Cunningham’s 13 points, Oakes forced an extra four minutes, and outscored the Titans 9-4 in the overtime period.

Oakes’ regular season finale is at Linton on Thursday, February 16 against Linton-Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock.
