CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) City County Health officials are concerned that proposed funding cuts in the legislature will have a negative impact on a smoking cessation program in North Dakota known as BREATHND.

State Senator Larry Robinson of Valley City agrees, he said if the funding is cut the progress made will be lost. He said after City County Health Director Theresa Will voiced her concern during a District 24 legislative forum.

BREATHND and other programs are proposed to be cut to help balance the state budget during the current 2017 legislative session in North Dakota.
