(NewsDakota.com) – A 4th quarter push by Wyndmere/Lidgerwood lost Maple Valley a Region 1 boys’ basketball game Monday night. The Warbirds outscored The Raiders 19-7 in the final period to take the contest 51-47. Maple Valley trailed 26-21 at the half and used a 19 point 3rd quarter to grab the lead.
Wyndmere/Lidgerwood’s Eli Jelinek paced all scorers with 18 points, Luke Foertsch added 9 and Aaron Bell 8. AJ Punton led Maple Valley with 16, Jacob Johnson scored 14 and Dustin Kasowski 7. The Warbirds are 10-4 and 7-3 in the region. Maple Valley drops to 8-5 and 2-3, they host Tri-State Thursday.
