CITY (NewsDakota.com)- With just under a month remaining in the season Valley City High School will play against one of the top teams in The EDC Tuesday night. Grand Forks Red River comes to town for a conference doubleheader. The girls will play first, The Roughriders are 2nd in the conference with an 8-2 EDC record. At 10-1 overall they are No. 3 in the latest Class A Poll. The Hi-Liners carry a 2-7 EDC record, they last played Tuesday night in a 64-43 win at Fargo South.
The Red River Boys’ team is currently tied for 3rd place in the conference standings. They have won 4 in a row with 3 of those wins coming against EDC teams. Valley City is 2-6 and 4-7 overall, they haven’t been in action since January 16th in a 71-67 loss to Shanley.
Pregame starts around 5:30 for the girls’ game with tip off at 5:45. The boys’ contest starts 20 minutes after the final buzzer. Both games will be on KOVC with video at NewsDakota.com.
