N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Sanford Medical Center of Jamestown has announced that they will no longer have a walk-in clinic beginning today, January 3rd.

A release from the clinic reports that instead, they will be offering same day appointments for anyone with an illness or injury who needs to be seen right away.

“Same day appointment must be scheduled on the day that you wish to be seen or can be scheduled Monday through Thursday afternoon for the following morning,” the clinic states in a release.

“The Same Day Clinic is not for routine visits such as physicals, well child visits, sports physicals, diabetic checks, medication refills and so on.  These types of appointments should be scheduled in advance in with your provider”

Sanford reports that they hope to eliminate long wait times that are sometimes experienced at the walk-in clinic.
