N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Junior Point Guard Garrett Bickett poured in 26 points, including four 3-pointers to help the Cardinals beat Kidder County on Thursday night 82-72. Carrington is now 5-0, KC drops to 2-1.
The Cardinals had the lead going into halftime by 11 points, 42-31. The Cards were ahead by as many as 21 points in the second half, but the Pirates had a big fourth quarter scoring 27 points, led by Sophomore Austin Schmidt with eight points, closing the gap to eight late in the fourth quarter. Senior Brighton Fallgatter scored six of his 22 total points in the fourth quarter. All five starters for the Pirates were in double figures, A. Schmidt ended the game with 14 points, Gage Pfaff had 13, Kamen Schmidt had 10 and Alec Stroh had 10. Lone Senior Bryce Edland for Carrington had 23 points.
