N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Christmas Day ice storm caused a lot of power outages around the region.
About 80 customers are still without power in Barnes County according to Cass County Electric spokeswoman Trudy Wanner. She said most of the remaining customers without power are either near Oriska or north of Valley City along Lake Ashtabula.
She said some 13-hundred customers in Barnes, Ransom and Sargent counties were without power during the peak period of the outage.
Officials in Stutsman County said there are several electrical customer without power due to ice knocking down power lines including portions of Jamestown during the ice storm and blizzard.
Stephanie Hoff, public relations manager with Ottertail Power Company said freezing rain and wind knocked down several power lines in Stutsman County during the storm.
