CITY, N.D. – (NewsDakota.com) The Express Wrestling of Valley City youth wrestling club won their annual dual tournament December 18th in the Hi Liner Activity Center.
The Express opened with a 48-27 victory over DGF of Minnesota, followed by a 45-35 win over Carrington.
The final dual pitted them up against Aberdeen, SD for the championship. After trailing by a 18-0 deficit, the Express rallied back to a 45-36 victory highlighted by a match securing pin from heavy weight Ethan Langemo over a significantly larger Aberdeen opponent.
Leading the Express for the day were Broden Muske, Koye Grebel and Koltyn Grebel who all went 3-0 with pins. Will Schwehr and Ethan Langemo both went 2-0 with 2 pins, Boeden Greenley went 3-0 with 2 pins and Ethan Miller went 2-1 with 2 pins. Also picking up wins on the day were Callen Hanson, Griffin Greenley, Alex Rogelstad and Ryer Muske.
Next action for the Express is the youth dual and individual tournaments in Fargo at the Rumble on the Red, December 30th and 31st.
