N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Farm Rescue has reported that the Delta Air Lines Foundation has donated $20,000 to their cause.

Farm Rescue is a non-profit that helps cover costs of mobilizing volunteers and utilizing equipment to plant, hay and harvest crops for farm families who have experienced illness, injury or natural disaster. The group plans to use the grant for fuel, meals, transportation, lodging and field supplies through the 2017 season.

“The Delta Air Lines Foundation is thrilled to support Farm Rescue and help advance its mission to aid family farmers in crisis,” said Tad Hutcheson, SVP – The Delta Air Lines Foundation. “We believe it’s vitally important to give back to the communities where we live, work and serve, and we are proud to support Farm Rescue as part of our $1 million donation to charitable and nonprofit organizations across 13 states.”

“We are thankful for the generous donation from The Delta Air Lines Foundation, and its commitment to farm families of the Upper Midwest,” said David Smith, Development Officer, Farm Rescue. “Delta’s contribution will allow us to provide assistance to an increasing number of farm families throughout the 2017 planting, haying and harvesting seasons.”

Farm Rescue has helped over 300 families in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota.
