N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The North Dakota Association of School Administrators has named Jamestown School District Superintendent Robert Lech the Superintendent of the Year.

There are four regions in the state in which the group selects a finalist. Four finalists are selected and one winner is chosen. The state winner will then be considered for the National Superintendent of the Year award.

“It is certainly an honor, but I think it is important to remember that these kinds of awards are indicative of the hard work of the school district more so than any one person,” Lech stated in an e-mail.

“Our teachers, support staff, administrators, Central Office staff, etc. are some of the best around. I’m sure the community realizes how fortunate it is to have such high quality professionals working with the students. The community of Jamestown has been extremely supportive of education, which can’t be undervalued in the district’s success with helping students reach their highest potential. School success is a collaborative partnership between school, home, and community. I feel very blessed to be here in Jamestown working for the best school district in North Dakota.”

Lech will now be considered for the National Superintendent of the Year.
