(NewsDakota.com)- The Barnes County North Girls’ Basketball Team won their season opener Tuesday night. Leading 45-9 at the half The Bison closed out the game with a 61-23 victory over Maple Valley in Tower City. Coach Tracy Heinze hopes the 38 point win helps set the pace for the year

 

 

 

BCN, who posted a 9-12 mark last season, return lead scorer senior Tess Scott (12ppg) and top rebounder Jayda Haugen (8rpg). Heinze looks for contributions from 2 players returning from injury

 

 

The Bison spend the first 3 weeks of the year on the road. They play Kidder County Thursday night and take part in The Barnes County Tournament playing Sargent Central Tuesday at 7:30. All Barnes County Tournament games can be heard on Q101 and newsdakota.com.
