N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 3rd Annual Mitten Tree is looking for donations of new or gently used mittens, gloves, hats and scarves this year.

The James River Valley Library is hosting their annual event again to help those who may not have the necessary items during the cold winter season. Assistant Director Jennifer Senger states that the tree is placed in the library and they’re looking for the community’s help to decorate it.

“Last year we received an outstanding amount of donations from our generous community, and we want to thank all those who helped make our Mitten Tree a huge success,” Senger states in a release. “This year we want to make it an even bigger success, so please stop by the library and help us decorate our Mitten Tree again.”

All donations will be given to the Salvation Army and the time to donate will go through January 4th, 2017.
